My furnace heats well for the first few times then the heat output drops all at once. Why ?
The buildup of ashes near the lower air intake causes the passage of air needed for combustion to stop and causes clogging in the exchangers and the chimney pipe.
Clear the air intake of all accumulated ashes and clean the exchangers and chimney pipe.
